COVID-19 Announcement
Due to Georgia's "Shelter in Place" order, we are unable to complete home visits required of us to approve new foster familes. However, please do continue to apply to become a foster home as our homeless Basset Hounds will need you more than ever once restrictions are lifted.
We are hopeful to figure out a way to continue getting bassets into foster and/or forever homes. Please be patient with us as we navigate new and creative ways to try to work around the current limitations we must now observe for the safety of all of the hound lovers in our family.
Note: As always, previous adopters/fosters are pre-approved to become foster homes. Please email FosterCoordinator@bhrg.org.
Thank you for your willingness to help our homeless hounds! The first step in our fostering process is to receive a completed application.
So that we may find the best foster match, please answer the following questions as completely as possible. An incomplete application will result in the delay of approval.
By submitting this application, I acknowledge that I understand the following.
- The information I am supplying on this application is true and complete to the best of my knowledge.
- Falsifying answers on this application or at any time during the process will disqualify me from fostering a basset hound.
- I will allow a pre-fostering home visit volunteer to visit my home and complete BHRG and Georgia Department of Agriculture paperwork.
