Due to Georgia's "Shelter in Place" order, individual adoptions and meet-n-greets with foster hounds will be delayed. However, please do continue to apply for adoption as you'll already be through this step in the process once restrictions are lifted.
We are hopeful to figure out a way to continue getting bassets into foster and/or forever homes. Please be patient with us as we navigate new and creative ways to try to work around the current limitations we must now observe for the safety of all of the hound lovers in our family.
Note: As always, previous adopters/fosters are pre-approved for adoption. Please email AdoptionCoordinator@bhrg.org.

A copy of your application will be emailed to you as confirmation. Please check your Junk and Spam folders. If you do not receive this email confirmation, our Adoption Coordinator has not received your application.
A successful adoption depends on both the selection of the right Basset for your household and the understanding of his/her caretaking needs. So that we may assist you with this selection, please answer the following questions as completely as possible. Incomplete information can delay the application process.
Please print this page before submitting it. If you are planning to attend an adoption event, bring the printed application with you to the adoption. Otherwise, you may be required to complete another application at the adoption event.
